Postgraduate (Doctoral) Entrance Examinations Conducted
Today, entrance examinations for postgraduate education — basic doctoral studies (PhD) for the 2026 academic year — were held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni.
In this year’s admission, 183 applicants registered for 57 allocated positions (including 1 targeted place) across 33 specialties, and all of them demonstrated their knowledge and potential on the path to entering an advanced qualification stage.
It is worth noting that visually impaired citizens also took part in the examinations under equal conditions created in accordance with Resolution No. PQ-407: of the 6 applicants with visual impairments, 4 chose the oral format and 2 chose the written one, taking the exam in the format most convenient for them.
The process was carried out by a commission led by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, Z.Ibragimov, in accordance with principles of fairness, transparency, and established procedures. To ensure openness of the examinations, staff from the “Compliance Control” anti-corruption system conducted continuous monitoring.
