An Open Dialogue with Youth Held at UrSU

Today, on November 20, a “Meeting of the Leader and Youth” was organized at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni with the aim of preventing crimes and offenses among youngsters in a timely manner.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Colonel Abdumajid Shermukhamedov, as well as the acting rector of the university, Sardor Khodjaniyozov, who held a discussion with the students.

At the beginning of the event, social and educational video clips prepared on topics such as combating drug addiction among youth, cybersecurity, and the activities of preventive inspectors assigned to the university were shown on the monitor.

Acting rector S.Khodjaniyozov opened the meeting by conveying its goals and objectives to the participants. Then, Colonel A.Shermukhamedov provided detailed information about the large-scale reforms being implemented by the state today in the field of youth policy. He also spoke about the work being carried out in the region to prevent crime and offenses among youth.

During the meeting, held in the format of an open dialogue, the achievements of the students of Urgench State University were highlighted. The students took an active part in the event, received answers to their questions, and presented their suggestions and initiatives.

At the “Meeting of the Leader and Youth,” the university’s female volleyball teams, their coaches, and parents — who won the Uzbekistan Volleyball Championship held on November 11–17 of this year — were duly awarded by the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

In addition, a group of active, initiative-taking students who responsibly fulfill their duties were presented with Certificates of Appreciation.
