Partnership Established with Chungwoon University of Korea
On December 4–5, 2025, the second Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Korea is taking place in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This international platform plays an important role in expanding academic cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries, exchanging advanced experience, and defining new promising projects.
Acting Rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, S.Khodjaniyazov, and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Gh.Orazboyev, are participating in the forum. During the event, Acting Rector S.Khodjaniyazov delivered a presentation on the scientific potential of UrSU, its participation in international projects, academic programs, and global cooperation strategy.
Most notably, during the forum, an academic mobility agreement was signed between Urgench State University and Korea’s Chungwoon University. This agreement will accelerate the exchange of students and academic staff, create broad opportunities for launching joint educational programs, and facilitate the implementation of new scientific initiatives.
