The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympics” Kicked Off with a Ceremonial Opening
Today, the ceremonial opening of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympics” sports competitions was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory. All officials from higher education institutions in Khorezm region, as well as students participating remotely from Urgench State University’s studio, actively took part in the opening ceremony.
It was noted that April and May have been designated as the “Health and Sports” months in higher education institutions. Within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympics,” competitions were scheduled in seven sports: basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis, swimming, and football.
As part of these sports competitions, Urgench State University held student tournaments in basketball, volleyball, handball, and football.
