Delegation from Liaoning Province of the People’s Republic of China Visits Urgench State University


Today, a delegation from Liaoning Province of the People’s Republic of China visited Urgench State University. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the university leadership headed by Rector Feruza Madrahimova.

As part of the visit, official negotiations were held with Zhao Hunbin, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, Li Yujun, Vice-Rector of Liaoning Pedagogical University, as well as representatives of the university. At the beginning of the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the university’s activities.

During the negotiations, Rector F. Madrahimova emphasized that cooperation between Urgench State University and leading higher education institutions in China has been steadily developing. It was also noted that the establishment of a branch of Liaoning Pedagogical University in the city of Khiva is of great importance for developing the higher education system in line with international standards, and the university is always ready for cooperation in this regard. Particular attention was given to the fact that the Confucius Institute, being established jointly with UrSU, plays a significant role not only in foreign language education but also in fostering intercultural development.

In turn, Vice-Rector Li Yujun expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the importance of establishing strong cooperation between the two universities. In particular, proposals were put forward to develop collaboration in the fields of psychology, philology, and engineering, as well as to organize exchanges of faculty members and students. These initiatives were warmly supported by the leadership of UrSU.

This visit is significant for further strengthening bilateral academic cooperation and for implementing new promising projects in the fields of science and education.
