UrSU students took 2nd place in the final stage of the Presidential Olympiad
From June 4 to 9, the final stage of the "New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad" sports competitions in 7 sports was held in Tashkent.
A delegation from the Khorezm region, led by the rector of Urgench State University Feruza Madrakhimova, participated in this prestigious competition. The fact that 106 of the 108 student-athletes in the delegation are students of Urgench State University was another vivid manifestation of the sports potential of our university.
In the final competitions, UrSU student athletes demonstrated high skill, determination, and a desire to win, achieving high results in several sports.
In the track and field competitions, our students won 6 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medals, taking first place in the national team standings.
The women's volleyball team performed well in the final, winning 14 silver medals at the Republican final stage and taking 2nd place.
In table tennis, our student athletes won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals and took 2nd place in the team standings.
Based on the results of the competitions, students of Urgench State University took an honorable 2nd place in the national final stage of the "New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad" in the overall team standings.
This achievement is the practical result of the hard work of our student-athletes, the selfless efforts of coaches, and the systematic work being carried out at the university to develop sports.
