Urgench State University Holds “Plov championship” on the occasion of Youth Day
On the occasion of Youth Day, Urgench State University organized a “Plov championship” aimed at promoting national values, strengthening team spirit, and further fostering a friendly atmosphere within the university community.
The event brought together the deans of the university’s 10 faculties, who participated with their teams and demonstrated their culinary skills in preparing our national dish — plov. Each faculty team paid special attention to its unique cooking style, as well as the taste, presentation, and decoration of the dish.
The rector of Urgench State University Feruza Madrahimova, also attended the championship and closely observed the activities of the faculty teams. The Rector spoke warmly with the teams preparing plov by the cauldrons and wished them success. She also noted that such spiritual, educational, and team-building events play an important role in uniting the university community, promoting national traditions and values among young people, and strengthening an atmosphere of mutual harmony and solidarity.
Held in a festive spirit, the “Plov championship” left a strong impression on participants and guests. The event became one of the meaningful and memorable activities organized at the university on the occasion of Youth Day.
