The first meeting of the Council of Urgench State University was held
The first meeting of the Academic Council of Urgench State University for the new 2026–2027 academic year was held. The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of the university rector Feruza Madrahimova, with the participation of the Council members.
At the beginning of the meeting, the updated composition and work plan of the University Council, as well as the University’s work plan for the 2026–2027 academic year, were approved. Afterwards, information and reports from the responsible officials on the current issues included in the agenda were heard.
At the meeting, the team was informed about the large-scale reforms being implemented in the political, economic and social life of our country, in particular, the priority tasks and details of the processes determined within the framework of the visit of our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Khorezm Region on August 17–18.
During the Council meeting, educational and regulatory documents for the 2026–2027 academic year, the plan for youth affairs and spiritual and educational activities, as well as the work carried out and future tasks within the framework of preparations for accreditation processes at the University were discussed.
Particular attention was also paid to issues of further enhancing the University’s international scientific reputation, organizing the activities of research groups, developing research based on scientific projects, and introducing a system of financial support for research.
At the meeting, information and reports were also heard on the “Roadmap” for the Anti-Corruption “Compliance Control” system for the 2026–2027 academic year, a number of issues related to the scientific sphere, as well as the work being carried out to ensure the employment of University graduates.
At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant decisions were adopted on the issues on the agenda, and the priority tasks, specific goals and important areas facing the University in the new academic year were determined.
