Urgench State University held a media tour in the Uzbek-Turkmen Friendship House and the complex "Ulli Khovli"

On April 16, 2021, the Urgench State University held a media tour in the "Ulli Khovli" complex and the Uzbek-Turkmen Friendship House: "Religious tolerance and interethnic harmony inherent in our nation."

The media tour was attended by professors and teachers of Urgench State University, students of group 183 of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, as well as media representatives.

The guests of the media tour were met by employees of the Uzbek-Turkmen Friendship Society and conducted a tour of the historical monument. During the trip, they shared interesting information about the history of the monument and its construction.

The complex "Ulli Hovli", built in order to further strengthen good-neighborly relations between the two countries, is one of the historical monuments. The complex, built in the 17th century, has preserved ancient courtyards, monuments of Turkmen culture, and the surrounding fortress. On the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, renovation and landscaping were carried out in this historical monument. A hotel for twenty people was built. Turkmen yurts have been installed. All conditions have been created for tourist and pilgrimage tourism.

Now the fortress, surrounded by a wall, is always open to anyone who wants to explore the culture of the two peoples, looking back on the past. Almost every day there concerts are held, songs and dances dedicated to the Uzbek and Turkmen culture are performed.

In the fortress you can ride camels and horses, go around crafting workshops and galeries, make selfies with real Turkmen soldiers and eat in Uzbek yurts.
