Al-Khorazmi International Olympiad!

The Olympiad was established in order to stimulate the development of the intellectual potential of talented youth, to attract to the pursuit of fundamental sciences, identifying and developing students' creative abilities and interest in research, expanding forms of international cooperation and intercultural relations among students from different countries, and popularize the rich heritage of Muhammad al-Khorezmi. The International Olympiad named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi International Mathematical Olympiad for University Students will be held every two years. The first al-Khorezmi International Mathematics Olympiad was held in Urganch, 26-31 October, 2018. At this Olympiad, representatives from over 58 universities participated, including 35 universities from 19 different countries. The last Olympiad was held in Nukus, 2023. The Olympiad is held to familiarize people with the great contribution of the great genius to the development of world science and civilization, to support talented students, to attract young people to the study of basic and exact sciences, and to expand international cooperation.
