About the information service of Urgench State University

In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PQ-3775 dated June 5, 2018 “On additional measures to improve the quality of education in higher educational institutions and ensure their active participation in comprehensive reforms growing in the country”, as well as Order No. 625 of the Ministry of Higher Education and secondary specialized education dated July 17, 2018, the activities of the Information Service of Urgench State University were implemented on a systematic basis. The head of the Information service has the status of the university press secretary and adviser of the rector on information policy issues.

Since July 6, 2020, Akhmedova Markhabo Farkhadovna has been working as the head of the Information service of Urgench State University.

To effectively organize press services, the university is equipped with modern material and technical means, including photo and video recording devices, computers and tablets, access to high-speed Internet and other necessary software products.

The educational process of Urgench State University, the latest news, scientific and spiritual-educational work, students life, international cooperation and critical analytical materials are actively covered on the official website of the university urdu.uz with the necessary information and news in three languages   (Uzbek, English, Russian languages), as well as on the pages of the press service on Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, YouTube.

In order to present the image of the university to the general public by establishing effective cooperation between the university and the media, bloggers, the Information service informs the population about the work carried out at the university, as well as to create an objective image of the institution. The information service regularly organizes press conferences, media tours, and briefings and a variety of media events such as open dialogues.

In addition, cooperation has been established with local television and radio channels, such as “Uzbekistan24”, “Uzbekistan”, “Madaniyat va Marifat”, “Yoshlar”, “Khorezm MTRK”, “S-Ikbol”, “8 TV” and the activities of the university are regularly covered. Also, popular scientific articles about the activities of the university are published in republican and regional newspapers and magazines, such as “Khalq Suzi”, “Yangi Uzbekistan”, “Narodnoe slovo”, “Truth of the East”, “Hurriyat”, “Khorazm Khaqiqati”, “Khorezmskaya Pravda" and are covered regularly.

Additionally, the university Press service constantly works in collaboration with the Information service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. In particular, together with the information service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, notifications, comments and information and analytical materials are constantly being prepared for coverage in the national media and electronic publications.

Also, under the leadership of the information service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and in collaboration with press secretaries of higher educational institutions throughout Uzbekistan, in order to ensure clarity and speed, actively participates in a social group for communication through social networks on the Internet in order to exchange ideas.

In organized meetings and seminars with the participation of press secretaries of educational institutions and government bodies under the leadership of D.Z. Bekchanova, head of the Khorezm regional department of the information and mass communications agency under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, UrSU press secretary M. Akhmedova takes an active part.
