        The department for the organization of research activities for gifted students was created in the 2019-2020 academic year and has its own charter and plan of the department. In previous years, the department of gifted students was part of the spiritual department. The department begins with the development of criteria for the selection of gifted students, the appointment of activists to work with gifted students at the faculties and the development of their annual plans. Based on the established indicators, on the basis of the recommendations of the deans, excellent students, active public figures and gifted students are selected. Extensive work is carried out at our university to find talented students, organize additional training, direct them to research work and ensure their competent research, as well as their preparation at a high level for Presidential and State scholarships, Republican scientific Olympiads, various foreign and local grants. At our university, special attention is paid to gender inequality. In particular, in the department of organization of research activities of gifted students, all conditions are created to support female students to demonstrate their talents. As a result, the research of our scientists, artists and athletes are awarded by the administration of our university.

               In the 2019-2020 academic year, the status of gifted students was assigned to 221 students, and in the 2020-2021 academic year, the status of gifted students was assigned to 212 students. In the past academic year, gifted students were paid a 10% allowance, following the Decree of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education No. 97 dated February 8, 2020 and the statement of the University Council meeting No. 7 dated February 22, 2020. The purpose of the decree is to provide material incentives for gifted, active in public life and needing social protection students studying subjects at the end of the semester at the university in order to increase the efficiency of activities in this area. In the fall semester of the current academic year, 103 students applied, of which 67 received an interest rate, and for the spring semester - 148 students. In addition, 19 students who won prizes in international and national sports and various events of the university were awarded at the established level of the basic scholarship. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 38 students won prizes at the Republican Olympiad in Science and took first place. Students and their supervisors were also rewarded according to established criteria.
        The university administration has created a wide range of opportunities to support talented students and their leaders, to further improve work with talented students at the university, to demonstrate and develop their knowledge. Each gifted student, in accordance with the Charter of the teacher and student, is assigned a supervisor who conducts research on topics of interest to them. They publish their research results in prestigious international and local journals and conferences. In particular, in 2019, 56 articles and abstracts were published, and in 2020 - 225. Of these, 6 were published in journals included in the Scopus database. Our talented students have received 4 patents. In addition, our students participate in various essay competitions announced by the Ministry of Higher Education, Ulugbek Foundation, and the Ministry of Innovation with their articles.

Our talented students participated in round tables on the preparation of projects and startups at the university and the Ministry of Innovation, the Youth Agency, project competitions with 11 projects. These projects are currently being studied for funding by relevant organizations. In addition, a team of 7 students signed up for the Ideas Platform on the Young Scientists website hosted by the Ministry of Innovation.
Our university has done a lot of work to attract talented students to the competitions of the State scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State scholarship. In order to prepare students for tests and interviews, the Ministry of Higher Education organized training sessions with the participation of professors and teachers. During 2019-2020. 46 University students received government scholarships, and 8 students received Presidential scholarships. Of these, 10 students for the 2019-2020 academic year, including: State scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan 1, State scholarships named after A. Navoi 3, State scholarships named after Ulugbek 2, 1 State scholarships named after Beruni, State scholarship of Islam Karimov 1  and  academicians. T. Sarimsakov 2 They were awarded the scholarship.
