A cultural event was organized in connection with the opening of the "Azerbaijan-Uzbek friendship center named after Yusuf Vazir Chamanzaminli".

The event was attended by 15 members of the delegation consisting of representatives of literature, art and culture of Azerbaijan, representatives of Khorezm regional administration, famous artists of our region, university management, professors and teachers of the faculty of Uzbek philology, and students.

First of all, the death of "Honorary Professor" of Urganch State University, member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, great artist Ganira Pashayeva was remembered, and tributes were paid to the memory of the deceased.

After that, the event was opened by the Rector of UrDU, Bakhrom Abdullayev, who expressed his satisfaction with this visit to all the members of the delegation, and said that such visits are one of the high-level manifestations of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. emphasized that the basis of the interstate relations between the states is the long-standing ties of friendship and brotherhood, the commonality of cultures, languages and traditions. The guests were presented with souvenirs representing Khorezm nationality on behalf of Urganch State University.

Also, at the event, the deputy governor of Khorezm region, Botir Saidov, the director of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center, Samir Abbasov, and the director of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Tashkent, professor Bobokhan Sharipov, spoke about the historical closeness of the two brotherly nations, and the fact that the cities of Shusha and Khiva were declared the "cultural capital of the Turkish world". they talked in detail about their respective sides and cultural-humanitarian relations. The mutual creative closeness of such great figures as Nizami Ganjavi, Fuzuli and Navoi was mentioned.

In the cultural part of the event, artistic performances of visiting artists from Azerbaijan, famous artists of Khorezm, and students of the Faculty of Uzbek Philology were presented. The national culture and art of the Uzbek and Uzbek peoples were shown at each performance. Poems were read in memory of the son of Azerbaijan, Ganira Pashayeva.
