The consumption of medicinal plants by people has been known since ancient times. In the Middle Ages, the use of medicinal plants in folk medicine spread widely in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Arab countries, and the need to study them, even grow and cultivate them as cultural plants, was born. The famous Greek physician Hippocrates described the properties of 236 different medicinal plants in his work "Corpus Hippokraticum". Among the Greek scientists, Aristotle and his student Theophrastus scientifically substantiated the properties of medicinal plants and their use in folk medicine and left a lot of information. Also, in ancient Rome, the famous physician K. Galen wrote 131 scientific works in the field of natural sciences, and in these works he described the methods of using the properties of 304 types of medicinal plants in medicine. Later, the study and use of the properties of medicinal plants in medicine came to Asian countries, India, Tibet, China, Turan and Arab countries. "Yajur-veda" is an ancient Indian work written about medicinal plants.
They independently analyze the topic together with their group, ask the teacher about misunderstandings, and 20 minutes before the end of the lesson, the groups answer questions with each other and are evaluated.
