The 5th International Open Science Olympiad in Mathematics (OMOUS-2025) was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, from April 13 to 18 of this year.

The 5th International Open Mathematical Olympiad (OMOUS-2025) was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, from April 13 to 18 of this year. 558 students from 56 higher education institutions, including students from Uzbekistan, India, Iran, Indonesia, the UAE, Poland, Russia, Romania, and the host Turkmenistan, competed in this prestigious competition.

It is gratifying that students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Abu Rayhon Beruni Urgench State University also actively participated in this Olympiad under the leadership of J. Abdullayev, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematical Analysis, and B. Fayzullayev, Lecturer of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, and won a total of 13 medals. In particular, 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze medals were won individually, and two teams of our university also won Silver medals in the team competition.

According to the results of the competition, in the individual competition:
????Sherzodbek Saidov — 1st place;
????Anvarbek Masharipov — 2nd place;
????Hojiakbar Sobirov — 2nd place;

????Chorshamov Rinatbek — 2nd place;
????Muslima Davronbekova — 3rd place.
