The heritage of Ogahiy is a source of national spirituality and scientific thought.

At the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruni, on the initiative of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, a scientific and practical conference was organized on the topic of “Current issues of studying the work of Ogahiy” on the occasion of the 216th anniversary of the birth of the great representative of Uzbek literature and historiography of the 19th century, poet and translator Muhammad Riza Erniyozbek oglu Ogahiy. This conference was dedicated to an in-depth study of the invaluable literary and scientific heritage of the great poet, historian and thinker Ogahiy, and to an analysis of the ideological, artistic, linguistic and cultural aspects embodied in his works.
The conference was attended by prominent scholars in the field of philology. In particular, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Prof. D. Gayipov, through his lecture on the topic “Ideological and artistic characteristics of Ogahiy's poetic verses”, highlighted the issues of philosophical views and artistic skill in the poet's work. Head of the Department of Uzbek Linguistics, Doctor of Philology, Prof. A. Primov, speaking on the topic “Historical and cultural significance of lexical and semantic units specific to the Khorezm region in the language of the work “Firdaus ul-Iqbol”, paid special attention to the role of the language of the work in reflecting regional and cultural values.
