“The technology of using keyboard shortcuts in teaching design software”
On January 6, 2026, a departmental seminar was organized at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering for students of technical and engineering programs. The seminar was conducted by Senior Lecturer R.R. Rakhimov within the course “Computer-Aided Design” on the topic “The Technology of Using Keyboard Shortcuts in Teaching Design Software.”
During the seminar, the theoretical foundations and practical significance of using keyboard shortcuts in the effective organization of computer-aided design processes were comprehensively discussed. In particular, the role of keyboard commands in increasing workflow efficiency, saving user time, and enhancing the effectiveness of practical training sessions was explained through illustrative examples. In addition, practical recommendations were provided on the use of basic and advanced keyboard shortcut combinations in modern software packages such as AutoCAD, NX, 3DMAX, KOMPAS, and SolidWorks.
The seminar was conducted in an interactive format, during which detailed answers were given to questions raised by participants, and an exchange of views on the topic took place. At the conclusion of the event, the relevance of the topic to the educational process and its high importance in the training of future specialists were emphasized.
