Corruption is the enemy of progress

Today, on February 19, a roundtable discussion titled “Corruption – the Enemy of Progress” was held at the Palace of Culture of Urgench State University with the participation of students from the Faculty of Philology and Arts. The event was aimed at forming an uncompromising attitude toward corruption and increasing the legal awareness and responsibility of young people.

During the roundtable discussion, the head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Control System Management Department, X.Shixova, participated and spoke in detail about the causes of corruption, its negative consequences, and mechanisms for preventing it. Particular emphasis was also placed on ensuring transparency in higher education institutions and the importance of strictly adhering to the principles of academic integrity.

During the meeting, detailed answers were given to the questions raised by students. It was also noted that the active civic position of every citizen—especially young people—is important in the fight against corruption.
