On April 15 at 2:00 PM, a regular scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.

During the seminar, second-year master’s student Shonazarova Sevinchoy Davronbek qizi delivered a presentation on the topic “The Use of Stylistic Figures in French and Uzbek Literature (on the example of The Red and the Black).”

Throughout the seminar, the researcher discussed the role of stylistic figures in literary texts, as well as their aesthetic and expressive potential. In particular, such devices as metaphor, epithet, and comparison used in the works of Stendhal were analyzed and comparatively examined alongside examples from Uzbek literature. The presentation especially emphasized the role of stylistic devices in revealing the author’s ideas.

Participants of the seminar expressed their opinions on the topic and provided academic recommendations. The relevance and practical significance of the research were acknowledged.
