International Experience: Modern Approaches to Food Security Discussed

On October 27, a presentation on "Opportunities for Developing Local Food Production and Processing and Challenges in Food Security" was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, with the participation of international food security expert and Fulbright Scholar Dr. Omar Oyarzabal.

The event was opened by the University’s Vice-Rector for International Relations, G.Urazboyev, and moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, Z. Jumaniyozov.

The meeting was attended by university professors, doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s students, as well as scholars from the Khorezm Mamun Academy, representatives of private universities, and entrepreneurs.

In his lecture, Dr. Oyarzabal emphasized the importance of modern science and technology in ensuring food safety, the implementation of quality standards in production processes, and the need to strengthen collaboration among the scientific community, industry, and the healthcare system.

The event became an important platform for scientific cooperation and exchange of experience dedicated to the sustainable development of food production and processing in the Khorezm region.
