Rector meets with the faculty of History and law


Today, Feruza Madrahimova, Rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, held her next meeting with the staff of the Faculty of History and Law.

At the beginning of the dialogue, the Dean of the Faculty, Shokir Atayev, presented a report on the work carried out by the faculty during the 2025/2026 academic year, the results achieved, as well as the priority tasks planned for the 2026/2027 academic year.

During the meeting, issues related to enhancing the research capacity of the departments were thoroughly analyzed. The participants discussed establishing academic schools, organizing scientific and theoretical seminars on a broader scale, improving educational and methodological activities, as well as preparing and publishing textbooks and teaching manuals. The issues of launching Master’s degree programs in relevant fields and establishing a “Legal Services” Center under the Department of Law were also considered.

Attention was given to attracting foreign professors and lecturers to the educational process, sending faculty members for internships abroad, integrating advanced curricula from prestigious foreign higher education institutions ranked among the TOP 300 into the educational process, organizing international conferences at a high level, and ensuring the timely and effective implementation of tasks set in accordance with the university’s target indicators.

The dialogue also addressed tasks related to ensuring graduate employment, organizing student internships at enterprises and organizations relevant to their fields of study, developing dual education, increasing the number of scholarship recipients, providing targeted support to talented students, developing student club activities, and accommodating students in student dormitories.

At the conclusion of the meeting, those responsible were given specific instructions and tasks regarding the areas discussed.
