On the afternoon of July 4, members of the delegation visited Istanbul Technical University, one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, ranked among the 500 best universities in the world (Qs World University Rankings - 326).

The delegation, headed by the mayor of the Khorezm region Zh. Rakhimov, was welcomed with pleasure by the rector of the Istanbul Technical University, Prof. Ismail Koyuncu. After this, an official dialogue carried out between the parties. They talked about reforms in the higher education system, it was noted that in Uzbekistan special attention is paid to the development of technical and engineering areas. In this regard, the systematic work carried out at Urgench State University was touched upon. Rector Bahrom Abdullayev outlined his views on the development of the engineering field and invited Istanbul Technical University to cooperate.

Also at the meeting, rector B. Abdullayev introduced the leadership of Istanbul Technical University to Urgench State University through a video and presentation.

As a result of the visit to this prestigious university, an agreement was reached to sign an agreement between Urgench State University and Istanbul Technical University on establishing cooperation in the field of engineering, organizing the exchange of professors, teachers and students, as well as cooperation in the scientific field.
