Korean culture" week has started at UrSU

Today, the "Korean culture" week, organized on February 3-8 in cooperation with Korea's Soon Chun Hyang University, began at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

Representatives of the two universities, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, students of the Korean language education department, and guests took part in the opening ceremony. The ceremony began with warm congratulatory words reflecting the friendly cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan.

At the beginning, vice-rector for international cooperation G.O'razboyev made a speech and spoke about the work carried out in cooperation with Korean higher education institutions, that this project has been carried out in our university for 3 years, and cooperation in the field of education and culture. He emphasized its importance and wished good luck.

At the opening ceremony, the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, Z.Jumaniyazov; the head of this project, Assoc. J.Ermetova; director of the Korean National Cultural Center, Antonina Kim; and a teacher of Soon Chun Hyang University, Miyoung Park, gave their speeches and spoke about the importance of this cooperation and the importance of this traditional event to learn foreign languages, especially the ability of students to speak Korean. They emphasized that it will serve to further increase. They acknowledged that such events will encourage the further development of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

In the artistic part of the event, the students of Urgench State University and Soon Chun Hyang University performed songs and artistic performances reflecting the customs, traditions, and cultures of the two nations. In particular, the K-pop dances and musical Taekwondo performances performed by the Korean guests gave the participants high spirits.

Such international cooperation provides not only new knowledge and skills for students but also opportunities for cultural exchange.
