The scientific potential of the Department of Uzbek Literature is 90.9%. The professors and teachers of the department are conducting scientific research in 2 areas:
1. The role of the Khorezm literary environment in the development of Uzbek literature. 
2. Khorezm oral and written literary sources. 
A scientific and theoretical seminar is regularly held at the department.

1. Bekposhsha Rahimova - Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor. 79 articles, 1 monograph, 2 educational and methodological manuals, 1 pamphlet, prepared the epic poem "Filmahmud" for publication. 

2. Dilshod Gayipov - Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor. More than 80 articles, 1 monograph, 1 scientific pamphlet, 2 educational and methodological manuals, 2 methodological instructions have been published. Prepared for publication the book "Ta'vizu-l-oshiqin" by Ogahiy (in collaboration), the book "Jamoling orzu aylab" consisting of poems by Ataniyoz Niyoziy.


3. Salomat Matkarimova - Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor. More than 70 articles, 3 teaching and methodological manuals, and the monograph "Tabibiy - tazkiranavis" have been published.
4. San'at Sariyev - Doctor of Philology, Professor. Published 90 articles, 1 monograph, 4 teaching and methodological manuals, 1 methodological recommendation.
