The history of the Department “Applied Mathematics and mathematical physics”
Department of “Applied Mathematics” was founded at the faculty of Physics and Mathematics in 1995 and Vice-rector on Academic Affairs of UrSU, prof. Norimov Shermat Norimovich was head of the department.
Prof. Khasanov Aknazar Bekdurdievich was nominated as a head of the Department of Applied mathematics on February 23, 1996 who was dean of the faculty of Physics and mathematics from April,1994 till February 23,1996 and defended his doctorial dissertation on April 1995 in Tashkent State University.
The name of the Department was changed to “Mathematical physics and applied Mathematics” in 1996.
In 1999, A.B.Xasanov was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at the same time as the Head of the Department of Mathematical Physics and Applied Mathematics.
In 2002, prof. B.Yu.Xasanov was appointed as a Head of the department “Mathematical Physics and applied mathematics”
In 2005, dotsent G.U.Urazboev was appointed as a Head of the Department “Mathematical Physics and applied mathematics”.
Bachelors on specialty 5440200-«Mechanics», except the bachelors on speciality 5480100-«Applied mathematics and informatics» were prepared at our Department in 2007.
From February 1 to May 15, 2019, Associate professor O.R. Allaberganov was appointed executor of the duties of the head of the department.
On March 15, 2009 dots. executor of the duties of the head of the department O.R.Allaberganov was appointed as a director of the academic lyceum № 3 under UrSU.
On May, 15 2009 dots. A.B.Yakshimuratov appointed as a executor of Head of the Department.
On September, 2009 Q. Mamedov appointed as a Head of the Department.
Since 2015, the head of the department is associate professor B.A. Babajanov.
In September 2020, the department of "Mathematical Engineering" was separated from the department.
Currently, the department maintains international collaborations with Novosibirsk State University, Saint Petersburg State University, Udmurt State University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as with the University of Bayreuth (Germany), Keele University (UK), University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Odessa National University (Ukraine), and many other foreign universities.At present, at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics has two doctor of physics and mathematics,professer, six doctors of philosophy (PhD) in physics and mathematics, four senior teachers, seven teachers and the department the manager is working. In the department, three basic doctoral students and two independent researchers are conducting scientific research in the field of "Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics". "Mathematics (According to directions)" graduate courses are operating in the department.
